Spring skiing
Experience the fifth season - The best time in the mounatins
The days are getting longer, the temperature milder, and the sun's rays warm, even as the snow stays cold on the mountain. In the transition between winter and spring, magic happens in the Swedish mountain world – the fifth season, "spring-winter," has arrived.
March and April are what we in the mountains call "spring-winter," and many of us agree it's the best time of year for skiing. Cold nights create great skiing conditions, while the daytime temperatures remain mild and comfortable. The sun allows for longer ski days, and our bodies start getting that much-needed dose of vitamin D.
Those crisp, cold nights make the snow firm and stable in the mornings, while in the afternoons, it softens into a wonderful, slushy texture. If you enjoy hanging out in our SnowPark, it's also a perfect time for park training, as the softer snow makes for smoother, more forgiving landings thanks to the mild temperatures. In Stöten, you’ll find not only the best skiing in Sälen but also adventures for everyone, from early morning to late evening. How about some lively outdoor après-ski, fun activities at the Wolf Club, or a festive Easter celebration?
Make sure to secure the sunniest weeks of the season! Did you know that weeks 50, 2-6, and 10-15 are our popular "Junior Weeks" perfect for families? During these weeks, kids under six get free meals, SkiPass, ski school, and equipment rental with a paying adult. You won’t want to miss out!
