Children 7-9 years

Obviously, you'll learn to ski at ski school—but you can also count on getting plenty of play and lots of laughter, as well as many new friends.

We'll make sure you feel safe on our slopes and promise that you’ll love skiing after a few hours with one of our enthusiastic ski instructors. Every week ends with our friend Vargy coming for a visit—guaranteed to be the highlight of your time at Stöten for years to come!

Our groups for children are arranged Monday-Friday and Friday-Saturday. 'Graduation' takes place on Fridays during the final lesson, where we combine skiing with a fun visit from Vargy.

Green ‘Smygare’, 7-9 years

Beginners' ski school for children who've never tried skiing before. We'll practice gliding, breaking, going on the button lift, and making turns on the flattest and easiest slopes. We'll mainly be located on the green slopes at Soltorget. The course is adjusted to the children's skill level.

Prerequisites: You don't need any previous skiing experience.

Blue ‘Glidare’ 7-9 years

Ski school for kids who are starting to get the hang of skiing. We'll practice making turns in a controlled manner and try skiing on varied terrains to challenge our balance. We'll mainly be located on the slopes and in the woods surrounding Soltorget—and perhaps we'll do a couple of runs on Vargy Express! The course is adjusted to the children's skill level.

Prerequisite: You know how to make turns and brake in a controlled manner on the green and blue slopes. You're also comfortable going on the button lift by yourself.

Red ‘Svängare’ 7-9 years

Ski school for kids who have been skiing for some time and are comfortable on the steeper slopes. We'll practice making even better turns and work on improving our balance—all while trying to ski with more speed. We'll move towards the steeper slopes, try the snow park, and explore off-piste skiing if the weather conditions allow it. We'll mainly be located around Soltorget and on the World Cup slope. The course is adjusted to the children's skill level.

Prerequisite: You're able to make controlled turns down the blue and red slopes—as well as being comfortable going on all types of ski lifts.

Black ‘Fräsare’ 7-9 years

Advanced ski school for kids who are comfortable skiing on all of Stöten's slopes. We'll practice perfecting our turns and improving our balance in a more challenging terrain. We'll go on the steeper slopes located all over Stöten, ski in the snow park, and try off-piste skiing if the weather conditions allow it. The course is adjusted to the children's skill level.

Prerequisite: You can—and are not afraid to— ski in a controlled manner with speed on all slopes and ride all types of ski lifts.
