Christmas week is a busy time in Stöten and we've loaded up on extra fun activities to maximise the Christmas spirit. Christmas crafts, face painting, sausage grilling and torchlight processions are just some of the activities on offer. We also have extra skiing - both morning skiing four mornings a week and evening skiing on freshly groomed snow!

Christmas in Sälen - a winter dream

When you choose to celebrate Christmas in Sälen and especially in Stöten, you will be greeted by a fantastic mountain atmosphere with snow-covered mountains and a variety of Christmas activities for all ages. The whole family can enjoy skiing on well-groomed slopes. Stöten offers the best skiing in Sälen with 50 runs and family-friendly slopes where beginners and professionals can enjoy side by side!

Christmas activities with something for everyone

During Christmas week, plenty of Christmas activities are organised in Stöten to create that extra cosy and festive feeling. For the little ones there is the Wolf Club with our very own Vargy, where children can play and make crafts. Children can also meet Santa Claus, take part in Christmas crafts and dance around the tree with Vargy and other children.

For adults we offer snowmobile safari, cross-country track and cosy evenings in one of our restaurants.

The restaurants serve carefully composed buffets with traditional Christmas dishes, local delicacies and customised options for special dietary needs.

Yes, Santa Claus is visiting Stöten to participate in the Christmas tree dance at Stötentorget on Christmas Eve. You can also book a visit from Santa Claus in the cottage, then you can leave a bag of Christmas presents outside which Santa then distributes to the children. Bookings are made through our booking department.
