In Stöten, the sky's the limit when it comes to what you can do with ski boots and skis on your feet - but here are our top tips for family activities on the slopes.

Tip #1: Ski school for children

Do you have children who have not yet learnt to ski? Then this is for you Stöten ski school Perfect! In the ski school they will learn about basic skiing, familiarise themselves with the equipment and learn a lot about skiing techniques. The perfect foundation before they hit the slopes on their own! However, if you have younger children, it might be better to take them sledging or snowracing on the sledging hill.

Tip #2: Downhill skiing with the whole family

Once you're ready to hit the slopes, you'll have your pick of slopes. With us in The shock in Sälen you will find around 50 slopes of varying difficulty. There's something for everyone! Whether the youngest member of the family wants to improve their technique on a green slope, or the teenager wants to jump and do tricks in our JibbArena or if the experienced parent wants to try out a black slope, there is the possibility to do this with us.

Here you will find lots of fun activities on skis that everyone can participate in - and - if you want - compete against each other! Ski cross, parallel slalom, mogul slope and speed ski track with automatic timing are just some of the challenges to choose from. And of course, not to be forgotten, Vargy's adventure course - The children's favourite slope in Stöten!

In Stöten you can do a lot more than just (phenomenal!) skiing. Here are our top tips for activities that don't require skis on your feet.

Tip #4: Bowling, spa, bath and sauna

If you'd like to take a break from skiing, perhaps because of too many freezing temperatures outside, and do something completely different, there are several options to choose from. Treat skiing-weary muscles to a lovely massage at Stöten's own spa which offers treatments for both children and adults.

On the bathhouse, which is located in the same building, you can also have fun in the pool, maybe swim a few lengths and of course enjoy the steaming heat in the sauna - perfect after a cold day on the slopes. Or why not challenge the whole family to a game of bowling in Stöten's own bowling alley?

Tip #5: Go on a snowmobile safari or hire your own snowmobile

Do you want to be outdoors and experience the amazingly beautiful nature but don't feel like skiing? No problem! Then you should definitely take a snowmobile tour with the whole family! Hire your own scooter or join one of our guided tours - it's entirely up to you to decide. Either way, you'll enjoy the magnificent mountain scenery and create unforgettable memories together in a unique and fast-paced way!

Would you like to treat yourself and your family to a powerful experience unlike any other? Then you should definitely book a dog sledding tour! Dog sledding is both cosy and fast-paced at the same time and is perfect for both young and old. A guide takes you on an incredible journey where you get to enjoy the magnificent mountain scenery from the sled covered in warm animal skins.
