With 389 meters, Stöten has the highest altitude in all of Sälenfjällen. This is where you can enjoy the combo of great skiing and snow, as well as a stunning view over the Swedish and Norwegian mountain landscape. You’ll find slopes for everyone—from easy bunny-slopes to steep and more challenging ones. Morningskiing

Take the first lift up while the rest of the resort is still asleep and get access to the slopes before everyone else. This is something you don't ant to miss when being in Stöten!

In Stöten you'll find up to 45 kilometers of cross-country skiing tracks, both down in the valley and up on the mountain peak. Enjoy cross-country skiing with both the Swedish and the Norwegian mountain landscape as backdrop.

At Stöten, you’ll find, among other things;

  • 50 slopes with varying degrees of difficulty. At least one of them is guaranteed to become your new favorite!
  • 45 kilometers cross-country ski tracks, including both classic and skate tracks, one which is also illuminated
  • Mormors störtlopp– the longest slope in the entire Sälen area. Starting from the top of Vargy Express, you can ski the 3060 meter long slope
  • Soltorget - family friendly slopes and fun activities for our youngest visitors. This is the perfect place to take your first turns on skis without any crowding
  • Skidtorget - speed and challenges! This is where you'll find the most advanced skiing in Sälen

Stöten in Sälen - skiing for everyone

The most important thing to us, is that everyone feels welcome in our slopes. We believe that everyone should be able to ski in Sälen, regardless age and ski level. We have something for everyone - no wonder that so many people have Stöten as their personal favorite ski resort.

Our youngest guests take their first turns on skis in slopes e.g. Tassen, Lill Haren, or any of the other green bunny slopes. The older kids usually like hanging in our award winning snow park, equipped with both jumps, boxes, and rails. For the more experienced skiers, we have the slope Älvan - which has been voten Sweden's best slope several years - as well as Näcken and other black, steep slopes.
