Leisure activities - our top tips
Are you also waiting for the ski season to start? To make the time go by faster, we'd like to share with you some leisure activities that you can do in your spare time - without being with us!
By now you probably know that you can try out a lot of fun activities with us in Stöten. (If not, you can always check out our range of activities here!)

However, we thought we'd share some other leisure activities that you can do even if you're not in Stöten! Here are our top nine tips for fun leisure activities.
Do something fun while waiting for the winter season - here are our top tips!
Tip #1: Climbing
Challenge yourself to new and exciting heights! For beginners, it is not recommended to challenge nature on free climbing. Instead, find out if there is a climbing club in your municipality. This will give you the knowledge, the right equipment and the experience you need to get started and develop as a climber.
Tip #2: Diving
Why not train as a diver and get a diving licence? Then you can discover the best places underwater - both in Sweden and the rest of the world! On the internet you can find courses around the country, from snorkelling to advanced diving.
Tip #3: Swim jump
If you're already curious about underwater leisure activities, you'll probably enjoy this too. Whatever your age (yes, even adults!), you can sign up for beginner swim jump groups. It's a fun, exciting and challenging experience for the daredevils.
Tips #4: Downhill cycling
This is perhaps the fastest leisure activity we're going to talk about this time. Downhill cycling is becoming increasingly popular and it's no wonder! With the help of a mountain bike, you have to get down a mountain in the fastest way possible, which can be characterised by jumps, drops and tight bends. There are many great downhill trails to try in the Sälen, but there are also smaller resorts. Check out what's available in your area with a simple Google search.
Tip #5: Archery
A perfect leisure activity, disguised in a sport, suitable for everyone! Old and young, girls and boys and everyone in between. Many archery clubs also offer taster courses so you can learn which equipment is right for you. For those interested in competitions, several different competitions are also organised around the country.

Tip #6: Sailing
Learning to sail can be difficult, but once you've mastered the skills, it's one of the most peaceful things you can do. You'll find around 120 certified sailing schools in Sweden that train children, young people and adults. Find out where your nearest one is with a simple Google search.
Tip #7: Turning
Turning is a quiet craft where you can really let your creativity flow. Watch as the mouldable clay forms an object of your choice using only a spinning wheel and your own hands. Turning studios are dotted around the country so you should be able to find one without too much trouble.
Tip #8: Volunteering
Make the most of your free time by doing something that really makes a difference in the world. Volunteering can be anything from helping young people or animals to cleaning streets and squares. Volunteering is also highly sought-after on CVs. The sky's the limit, figure out what you're passionate about and find an organisation that does just that and you'll be up and running in no time!

Tip #9: Choir
Another creative (and super fun!) leisure activity! Join a choir and let the melodies take over your body's rhythm. Singing choirs are for everyone - regardless of previous experience or how good you think you are. What's more, few things fill your body with such joy as music and singing out loud with others. There you have it! Our top tips for leisure activities until the ski season starts again.
