Indoor games for children

Imagine a sunny and slightly cold winter day in ski slopes. You and the family spend the whole day on the piste and have time to try both Granis and Farfarsvängen. You glide down to your cosy cabin in Soltorgsbyn, You're taking off your ski gear for the day and getting ready for a cosy evening at home on the sofa. The kids, on the other hand, are not content with a sedentary evening - they want to play! In this case, you can suggest the following games to them:
There are lots of fun games for children of all ages - here are our top tips!
Charades
Charades is a true classic that appeals to all ages. It's rarely a dull moment when you see your sibling or friend trying to imitate an animal, a cartoon character or some other funny trick. Let the children decide for themselves what they will try to imitate or write down small notes to put in a bowl. Then someone has to pull a note from the bowl and try to show with body language and gestures what was written on it. The other participant(s) have the task of trying to guess what is being imitated. It is suggested that the person who guesses correctly draws the next note.
Animal-taff
Most people are familiar with the game of tag, where one person tries to catch up with the others, touching them and shouting ”tag” at the same time to switch roles. To take this game a step further and make it even more fun, children can play animal tag. The game is played in the same way as usual, with the only difference being that you have to imitate different animals and their characteristics. Let the children decide for themselves which animals they will be or use patches in the same way as in charades. Someone might be a hare and try to move like one. Another might be a kangaroo while someone else is a snake. Only your imagination sets the limits!

Feeling bag
Another fun game is the so-called tactile bag. Simply put different objects in a cloth bag or similar. The most important thing is that it is not possible to see what is inside. Then let the children put their hand in the bag, feel the object, tell you how it feels and then try to guess what it is. Starting with fruits and other familiar objects is usually a good start. Then you can make it almost as difficult as you like.
