Sälenfjällen is a great place to try your luck at fishing! Fishing is a perfect activity for those who enjoy both peace and adventure on holiday.

Put & Take

Adjacent to the Görälven River is the "Put & Take" pond, which is filled with noble fish from midsummer onwards - there are often bites here! This is a perfect excursion destination for the whole family. Take the opportunity to have a coffee break in the shelter and enjoy a quiet day at the pond. The pond is also easily accessible by wheelchair or pushchair.

Fishing tackle and licences Put & Take

Remember to bring your fishing gear! A fishing licence is required to fish in the pond. This can be purchased by Swisha according to instructions on site at the pond or at the reception in Stöten. A fishing licence is valid for one rod and up to three fish/day. The card is personal and is only valid in the Put & Take pond.

Transtrand fisheries management area

The slightly more experienced fisherman can try their luck in Görälven. Here you can experience the feeling of fishing for grayling and trout with a fly or casting rod. The Ersbo fly fishing stretch in the Görälven river is about 2 kilometres long and offers both calm and flowing water.

Remember to keep nature clean! Use the toilet and throw rubbish in the bins. Fish may only be gutted in the designated area for everyone's enjoyment. It is forbidden to make fires in the slaughterhouse.
