Snowmobile safari

A snowmobile safari is a must when you visit Stöten. Enjoy a fast-paced trip with your friends and family over snow-covered mountinains and amazing views. This is guaranteed to be a memory for life!

More Activities are hosting guided snowmobile tours in Stöten. The tours are led by experienced guides that will make sure you feel safe during the entire trip. When the weather is nice, we ride along beautiful trails up on the mountains with an amazing view over the snow-covered landscape. When the weather is not as nice, we take the tour down in the woods and over mires. Both tours, however, will give you a break mid-tour to really enjoy and soak in all the beauty nature has to offer, take pictures and ask the guides questions.

Please note that you need to have some kind of driving license (Swedish or foreign) in order to drive a snowmobile during a guided tour.

Our guided tours

The Granfjäll Tour is a tour of 1,5 hours up on the mountain and the nature reserve with magical views of the untouched landscape. This tour is executed daily at 10 am, 12 pm, 2 pm, and 4 pm (as well as 6 pm after March 1st). Price: 1 395 SEK per snowmobile.

The Under the Stars Tour is a tour of 1,5 hours with a memorable experience under the beautiful starry sky. This tour is executed daily at 6 pm until February 28th. Price: 1 395 SEK per snowmobile.

The Family Tour is a tour of 2,5 hours including a stop for grilling hot dogs by our cozy campfire. We ride around Närfjället, through the woods, and stop by our very own campfire, located right by a small river. We'll light the fire and grill hot dogs together with the amazing mountain landscape as backdrop. This tour is executed daily at 2 pm during school holiday weeks, and multipe times per week during the remaining weeks. Hot dogs and beverages are included in the price. Price: 1 795 SEK per snowmobile with room for two persons. It is also possible to rent a sleigh that is connectable to the snow mobile 525 SEK, with room for either two small kids and one adult, or two older kids.

Rent your own snowmobile

It is also possible to rent snowmobiles to go on your own adventure. This is an excellent option if you prefer to take your own sweet time and perhaps enjoy a nice coffee break up on the mountain - or if you want to go in a faster pace with no breaks at all! A map over the snowmobile trails is available for purchase before you head out, and you'll be given suggestions of where you can go. The snowmobiles are available for pre-booking all days of the week.

Please note that, in order to rent a snowmobile, you'll need a license for terrain snowmobile, or a Swedish class B driving license issued before Januari 1st 2000, or a Norwegian driving license issued before July 1st 2006.
