Activities of Stöten
Stöten is one of the largest and most popular facilities in Sälen. It has the highest vertical drop in the Sälen mountains at 398 metres and the longest descent in the Sälen - Grandma's Torrent at 3060 metres. In Stöten there are 24 ski lifts, 50 slopes of varying difficulty and a full 45 kilometres of cross-country tracks for both classic and skate. There is also a wide range of restaurants, shops and entertainment for all ages. Stöten is just as suitable for families with children as for groups of friends or colleagues - there are activities and winter sports for everyone!

Stöten offers lots of activities even outside the ski slopes. Relax in our spa and relaxation area, play with Vargy in the Vargy Club or challenge your friends to a bowling match. Vargy - every child's best skiing friend
Vargy is a big, furry, cuddly wolf who likes high fives and is Stöten's very own mascot. He's the world's friendliest wolf and every child's best mate on the slopes. Throughout the winter season he organises lots of fun activities in the Wolf Club - treasure hunts, play and outdoor buses and ski competitions are just some of the activities he comes up with. Become a better skier with Stöten's ski school
In Stöten there is a ski school for both children and adults. Whatever your age or level, our expert instructors are on hand to develop your skiing and make your experience on the slopes even better. Book either a group lesson with other skiers of the same level or your own private lesson to get the most out of your ski instructor. We have skilled instructors who are trained to give lessons in both skiing and snowboarding.


Cross-country skiing in Sälen
For those who are not attracted by the speed of downhill skiing, the Sälen offers really good skiing even on the long run. In Stöten there are 45 kilometres cross-country track for classic and skate, both up on the mountain and down in the valley. Take the WC Express lift to the top and enjoy cross-country skiing with magical views of the mountain landscape. In the evening, you can continue your training on our illuminated 3-kilometre Lysrundan trail down in the valley.

This is Sälen
Sälen is one of Sweden's most popular resorts for skiing and winter sports of various kinds. Located in Dalarna, 65 kilometres from Malung and near the village of Berga where the Vasaloppet race starts, is the pleasant town of Sälen.
