Choose the right slalom equipment for your kids

3 tips for finding the right ski equipment for your child

Whether you choose to buy new, second-hand or hire ski equipment for your children, there are a few factors to bear in mind. Below, we share three simple tips to ensure that your children have the best possible experience with their slalom equipment.

Always buy a new ski helmet - for your child's safety!

  • The right size. It sounds like a no-brainer - but children can find it hard to decide for themselves whether a ski boot feels comfortable, the ski is too long or the helmet is too big. If it's hard to decide on your own, we recommend getting help from an expert, otherwise your day on the slopes might not turn out as you hoped.
  • Should you add insurance? Equipment can be broken, lost or even stolen. So consider whether you should insure your children's ski equipment. If you hire your equipment you can easily add insurance for a cheap price.
  • Invest in a brand new helmet. All equipment can be bought second-hand - except the helmet. A helmet that has been subjected to hard impacts is less likely to provide the protection it is intended for. So if we can only advise you to buy and If there's one new gadget, it's definitely the helmet. Safety always comes first!
