Torsten's Restaurant

Here at Torstens serves classic cuisine with a wide menu, day and night. You can drop in at any time of day and be greeted by a varied selection of different popular dishes. You'll enjoy your meal in a beautiful and cosy setting with large, airy spaces. There are also fancy cocktails for those who want to go the extra mile and end the evening on a high note.

Bertil's Bistro & Bar

In Stöten's new Ski Lodge at Soltorget you will find Bertil's Bistro & Bar with a relaxing environment and large panoramic windows facing the slopes around Vargy Express. You can settle down here at any time of day, as the large open-plan salen serves as Stöten's own living room. Make yourself at home, it has everything you need.

From early in the morning there is a simple selection of refreshments, but also coffee and light lunches for those who want to have lunch or a snack later in the day. It's also a great place to grab something good from the bar and snacks, have a quiet moment while happy skiers circulate just outside the windows. If your feet are starting to ache, there's a well-crafted cocktail menu to graze on while you rest your feet.

Brasseriet - everything for hungry skiers

In the Stöten square in the heart of Stöten is our largest and most popular restaurant Brasseriet which shares a building with the cosy Café Bistro. Here we provide hungry skiers with tasty energy to endure a full day on the slopes.

The immensely popular breakfast at Brasseriet is served as a traditional hotel breakfast buffet with everything from crispy waffles and freshly baked bread to yoghurt, meatballs and scrambled eggs. At lunchtime, well-prepared à la carte dishes are served every day of the week and of course there are also children's portions for the younger guests.

Perfect for a festive and tasty dinner

With its rustic setting, candle-lit candelabras and large glass windows overlooking the mountain, Brasseriet - or ”Brasset” as it is also known - is perfect for a festive and tasty dinner. The menu is packed with appetising dishes to suit everyone from the connoisseur to those who prefer something simpler. Six days a week, the Brasserie also offers a legendary après-ski. Here you can enjoy an ice-cold beer in good company to the sounds of both old classics and new hits.

Cosy café Bistron

Upstairs from Brasseriet is the cosy and slightly quieter Bistron. With a cosy soft lounge feel and a playroom for the youngest, the Bistro is the perfect stop for the coffee-hungry family with children.

We serve both hot and cold drinks, coffee breads and light dishes such as grilled sandwiches and warming goulash soup. New for this season is that we also serve tasty waffles. Welcome to the warmth!

Tipi Bar - the best way to end your ski day

In the same building as Brasseriet, downstairs, is our popular Tipi Bar offering good drinks in a classic pub setting. End your ski day - or start your party night - in good company to the sounds of atmospheric live music.

Tipi Bar is open Wednesday to Saturday throughout the season and the relatively small venue means that the atmosphere quickly becomes really cosy and familiar.

Music quiz at Bertils

Every Wednesday at 20:00 it's time for the music quiz at Bertil's Bistro & Bar. Cold beer, tasty cocktails and light snacks are on the menu - and of course there will be lots of catchy music! In other words: a really nice evening with a family atmosphere is promised!

Restaurant Ladan - a cosy restaurant right on the slopes

To visit Restaurant Ladan is like stepping into an oasis with room for a well-deserved rest after the slope. A charming tavern that you'll find in the middle of the World Cup slopes.

In the springtime, enjoy good food and drinks on the outdoor terrace with Stöten's best location. Restaurant Ladan gives you exactly the feeling you want in the mountains! The barn serves Austrian-inspired dishes for both lunch and dinner.

As the evening progresses, the lights dim and candles are lit around the restaurant. Enjoy a refreshing pre-dinner drink while you decide which of the many delicacies on the menu you want. Of course, the menu also includes the famous schnitzel, which has become a bit of Stöten's own local celebrity.

A cosy restaurant in the middle of the slopes

Fjällkåtan - Sweden's largest wilderness hut

In the cosy Fjällkåtan located in the middle of the slope, you can enjoy well-prepared food in the wilderness. Ahead of this season, the restaurant has been given a major boost with a newly renovated kitchen and new fine furniture. Together with new chefs in the kitchen and tableware with table service, Fjällkåtan gets a whole new concept.

As usual, coffee, waffles and light lunches are served during the day - but on selected evenings during the season, the restaurant is transformed into a wilderness oasis with atmospheric fondue evening for the whole family. With snowmobile transport to and from the restaurant, it's an all-night activity that's likely to be the highlight of your mountain holiday.

Älvans Pizzeria - pizza and coffee in a cosy atmosphere

Älvan's Pizzeria is a cosy restaurant with good pizzas located on Skidtorget in Stöten. Älvans has a wide selection of pizzas on the menu where you can both eat in and take away. Pizzas are served all day in a rustic setting where you can take a much-needed break in a warm atmosphere. Hand-baked pizzas are served piping hot straight from the oven.

In the evening there is the possibility of table service, but you can also pick up your take away pizza or even have it delivered if you prefer to eat it at home in the cottage.

As well as pizzas, there's a lighter selection of pastries to munch on while resting your feet between rides or needing a quick energy boost. The area around the restaurant has been widened and levelled so that you can easily glide right up to the entrance from the slopes - what better way to eat in Sälen?

After a long, glorious day on the slopes, you need to replenish your energy - and it's a holiday after all, so why not treat yourself to something really good? But neither standing by the stove nor crawling out of your underwear to go to a restaurant may seem particularly appealing. Then there is an optimal solution: take away!

Waffles and skiing are an unbeatable and classic combination, so good that it even has its own day - Waffle Day on 25 March. But here in Stöten we celebrate waffles every day!
