Sledging, snowracing and tailgating
Taking the kids out sledding, snowracing or tailgating is often a popular activity for young and old alike. Here at Stöten in Sälen you'll find smaller slopes dedicated to sledges, snow racers and bobsleighs. You can pull the youngest in the sledge while the older children can have fun on the slopes on their own.
Skates
If it's a bad winter with little snow, you can take the kids to an ice rink. Or why not go on a frozen lake outdoors? This is a great activity for slightly older children who are already sharp on the grills, but also for smaller children who are just learning to skate. The earlier you start practising skating with your child, the easier it will be for them to pick up the technique.
Cross-country skiing or downhill skiing
Another very popular and great winter sport is cross-country skiing. Take the kids to one of the our many cross-country tracks and go for a ride - it'll be a fun activity to do together, as well as providing good exercise. If you prefer to go downhill, this is of course perfectly possible. With us you will find as many as 50 slopes in varying degrees of difficulty. There is something for everyone, from green slopes that are ideal for children to black slopes that are ideal for the experienced. Both children and adults can enjoy a moment together on the slopes!Explore our ski slopes here!

Take a winter walk and pack your lunch
Another nice activity to do in winter is to go to an outdoor area and take a walk. You can also pack a packed lunch or why not grill sausages and bread outside? It's a safe bet that will be appreciated by young and old alike.

Make snow angels or snowmen and play in the snow
If you have younger children, it can be a fun activity to build a snowman together or to make beautiful snow angels in the snow. Guaranteed to be something that will be appreciated by the children in question! Now we hope you've got some inspiration for different activities to do with the kids during the winter. In fact, the only limit to what you can do is your imagination! Do you want to spoil your family with a magical mountain adventure this winter? Then you are warmly welcome to join us at Stöten in Sälen - book your trip already today.
